My 3 handsome boys...They are growing up....too fast. :-(
Jacob is trying to casually hold Jonah with his elbow before he dove off the couch.

sneaking white powdered donuts out of my bag at the bowling alley....I didn't know he was eating them I just "Caught" him in the act!

We went bowling and the LOVED IT!!! Maybe we'll go back....one day.

BLUE BLUE BLUE!!!

So handsome but can't be still for a picture.
Um excuse me mom but why did you put these suspenders on me with my PJ's???

He loves mickey mouse....just laying down hugging him in the middle of the kitchen floor...

They just got out of the bath and I walked in and found them like this. Jaron said he was getting that thing off Jonah's finger...He laid perfectly still and let him too.

This is what happens when you eat a blue bank sucker...
Oh by the way he has finally started saying mama when he sees my picture and sometimes when I ask him "who am I?" and he tries to say baby too. I think since I've started babysitting other babies his age he has learned to say some words from them. He also says "mooooo" when you ask him what's a cow say. And he says "ruff ruff" for a dog.
I took him to the ENT and they tested his hearing with 3 diff instruments and said he can hear fine so that's not the problem he just isn't ready to talk yet. I am kinda concerned but not sure I want to start speech therapy yet.

I was tickling Jonah in the van the other night and just had to capture the moment....He was so sleepy...and delirious!

What to do???

This is Jaron's Fall pictures from Pre-K. I fixed his hair that morning but obviously it didn't do any good. I don't even care though because he is smiling so good. And notice he's giving a thumbs up! MY FAVORITE picture of him....no doubt.
All dressed for church....

coughing and puking will wear anyone out....Jaron has been congested and coughing a lot lately which turns into puking for him. He gags so easy and its NO FUN! He doesn't eat at school and I am still giving him 3 pediasures everyday. I took him back to the dentist and let them fill the one top tooth but we didn't let them pull any teeth. He is still complaining (maybe more now) of teeth hurting and he chews on all his fingers frequently. I am so torn on what to do. Should I let them pull his teeth and hope that helps him eat better. Maybe that's one of the reasons he doesn't like to eat....his teeth hurt. He still pockets things in his cheeks and there is obvious difficulty swallowing. He has anxiety and even cries sometimes if we try to introduce anything new. He has been 33 lbs. for a year or more and I am sewing up his pants so they don't fall off. When will this "battle of the cleft" ever end????

He thinks he's grown

Jonah was begging to sit at the counter so I put him up there with a marker and paper...He was so proud.

And one day I went out of the living room for a minute and when I came back in this is what I found. He was dangling his legs watching tv. So cute!

And the other night after getting out of the bath he discovered his nose holes!!!

Dentist Visit

They were playing with "Moon sand"
They were dressed up for picture day at school.
Jacob went to the dentist for his cleaning and he does not have any cavities. He also got a report card today and had all S's with the exception of one E in Physical Ed. And he got scored above average in reading. So he's doing great in school.

Dental Issues

Well the boys went for their cleaning at the Fun Dentist again. Jaron's two front teeth have more decay. He has already had them filled once and now they are suggesting we just pull them. They are very thin teeth and fragile so trying to "Rebuild" them would be very difficult. I consulted his doctors in Boston and they suggested trying to rebuild it if possible but if the decay has progressed to infection then we need to pull them. Infection in teeth cannot be helped by antibiotics and it will spread to other teeth. Jaron's teeth aren't infected~yet so I think I am going to call them in the morning to and ask them to try and rebuild it. It might break off and not work but we atleast need to try. The dentist in Boston said that pulling teeth this early could mean bone loss but if it has to be done then do it.

Here's a close up of his teeth. He is missing the to incisors beside his front teeth. I guess they'll never be there not really sure. His top teeth are very sensitive and he does NOT like having his teeth brushed. We have started a more agressive approach for his oral hygiene, incorporating floss and flouride mouth was to his daily routine. He does not like it but it has to be done.

They love playing with the moon sand.
Jaron loves school and still goes every day. He has good days and bad. I am trying not to stress about it. Sometimes he will not eat ANYTHING for 6 hours while he's there and other days he will eat everything they offer, lunch and snack. So they reward him and so do I when he has a good day. I still give him 3 pediasures daily to make sure he's getting proper nutrition.

Seven Years Old!

I can't believe he's already 7. I decorated the night before with lots of balloons tacked to the ceiling in the living room and streamers in the kitchen. When he got up to pee in the middle of the night he said "mommy I'M SEVEN" it was so cute because with his eyes squinting and half asleep he still saw the decorations and realized it was his birthday. He said several times that day "I can't believe I'm seven Mommy" It was so adorable. He's 4ft. 1 in. And in the 95% for his age. How will I discipline him when he's taller than me? I am only 5'1" so it won't be long. Well Jacob was born on my mom's birthday so they came over and we had pizza and cake that day.
Jacob has grown up so fast and he's so smart. He can read and tie his shoes and he loves to help mommy with Jonah when he's crying or with the other babies I keep. He's gonna make a good husband one day. I am so sad to think of him grown but I feel honored that God would allow me to be a mother. I try to raise my boys to know the Lord. We teach them what the Bible says about how we should live our lives. Jacob took it upon himself to give $2 of his birthday money for offering sunday and he requested prayer by raising his hand "Pray for more people to get saved". He's so sensitive and sweet. I can't imagine the day he's too embarrassed to hug me or tell me he loves me in front of others.

Superman!!!

He loves Blue's Clues & Baby Einstein
Superman PJ's...not sure why he's making that face...sick of the pictures I guess

This is what happens when you give him a bowl of mashed potatoes and he uses his hand to get them in his mouth...

kisses for daddy.....We are a little concerned about his speech....he's only saying a few words "ball" "dada" "more". The doctor said if he doesn't start talking by 18 mo. we might need to have him evaluated for speech. Ugh!

Climbing and Hiding

Beautiful face...
All dressed up for church but he would NOT stand up....he kept sitting so this is the best picture I could get...holding his little new testament

He's learned a new technique or should I say bad habit.

And also a new hiding place.

He LOVES his daddy....still don't say mama...just ball and dada..

Suckers...sulking & suits

We were given this suit and it fit Jacob perfectly. He wore it to church Sunday and everyone complimented him. He's growing up so fast.
The other day Jacob wanted to play outside and I didn't want to move the van so he went out and sat in the driver seat and was pouting....had to capture the moment.

They all got blowpops....couldn't even finish them...too big.

Silly summer days

The boys were doing headstands
Nothing like a blowpop...too bad none of them could finish them. My boys aren't very fond of candy. I don't give it to them much so they don't want a lot of it.

They love to wear this raincoat...I think he looks like a duck QUACK QUACK!
Jaron has been in Pre-K 3 weeks and he lost 1lb. in the first week there. I am getting very discouraged. He ate a whole pamento cheese sandwich one day and another day he did not eat any of his pizza. Today they had chicken nuggets and he didn't eat anything. I am continuing to give him 3 pediasures daily but I can't get him to gain any weight.
I am so torn on what to do for him. Keep him in pre-k or take him out so I can feed him at home more often and make sure he gets enough to gain some weight. My little boy is so skinny and it worries me...

Going to First Grade

Football with skateboarding helmets
silly boy....tucked in his shirt and then went and got this hat and said "check this out mommy"

"Look I have one big tooth" it's the magnet for the dentist office....

waiting on the bus the first day....
When I woke him up for school and said it's time to get read for school he said "YES!!!" and when he was getting ready for school the second day he said "Mommy I can't believe I'm in the first grade"... he's almost mastered tying his shoes too....

learning to climb

chillin with daddy
about to fall off the couch.....

climbing in the fridge to get a closer look...

sat on Jaron's head...
loving the slide...he climbed up in several times and stood up....if I tried to help him he cried....

Non stop sliding...

napping during the yardsale
finally starting to feed himself after one week at pre-k and tasting all sorts of new things: chicken, peaches, pears, pineapple, corn dog, peas, noodles...he hasn't cleared his plate but it's a HUGE step for him to be tasting each thing. stuff he's never had before.....when we try at home he just cries so I think seeing a whole table full of kids his age eating the same thing he feels kinda like it's "normal".

saying his bedtime prayer...
ahhh....nothing like a push pop

wearing his skateboarding helmet and told daddy he was playing football....
