Turning Point....

Well I have been blogging about Jaron on here since I was pregnant with him. And because he had his own blog I felt like it was only fair to create one for Jacob and Jonah too. Well I am tired of posting to 3 different blogs. :-D I have decided to put Jaron's "Cleft" behind us and use this blog for the whole family and to tell about our lives. I am using the same web address so I could keep all Jaron's post in the archives. And I merged all the posts from Jonah & Jacob's blogs onto this one. The video I made of his 1st year is at the bottom of this page too. I just think I need to move on and stop focusing on all that. I know my blog has helped so many on their journey because I have gotten tons of emails from new/pregnant moms asking for help. All the links will still be on the sidebar. I feel like I have gotten so wrapped up in reading other blogs that I have neglected my own. It has become annoying to post to 3 different ones and mine needed a facelift.

So after hours of searching online for a good background.....and I mean HOURS. I finally settled with this one. I am not lovin' this blue background but it will do for now until I can find something I really love. Anyway, this is it the new Cote Family blog. We will no longer just focus on Jaron and his issues. We are whole family and I don't want to single him out. He needs to feel like he's part of us. I know you are thinking "Does he actually read the blog" well no he doesn't but this is my way of reprogramming my mind for all areas of our life. He still doesn't eat good and I feel like we focus too much on the negative things. Jaron needs to feel "normal". He's going to kindergarten next year (and I'm scared to death)!!! If you have any suggestions for new decorations or another website I could find a better background please feel free to chime in. Thanks to everyone who has been reading our story.

We got some snow but I was babysitting so I couldn't take Jonah outside. I brought some snow inside to him in a bowl and he LOVED it!
You can click on this picture to enlarge it and notice his extra long eye lashes....GORGEOUS!!!

In this video he's say "snowball"

SNOW!!!

SNOW!!!

Well we finally got some snow that the boys have been praying for. We got about 4 inches and they LOVED it. I kept the dryer going all day with gloves since they didn't have any waterproof ones. It was beautiful! Everything covered in the white fluffy stuff seems to make it all look clean and pure. I wish it snowed more often here.
We didn't have a sled so we improvised and used our laundry baskets!!! :-)

Silly Faces

Well my little boy is growing up so fast. I am kinda sad to see him get so big and then again I am happy to watch him develope into a little gentleman. He is so kind hearted and worries about me when I'm sick or have a headache. He is very loving and very smart. We were talking about priorities in our life and we listed 1. God 2. Family 3. Church 4. Friends and he said "Hey mom what about making Christians" He meant witnessing to the lost. He is so thoughtful and precious. I love this child...

Calm, Cute, Climbing and Cuddly

Well here is what Jonah looks like when he's calm....watching Willie wonka
and this is what he looks like close up and so CUTE!!!

and here's a new trick he's learned to CLIMB!!!
And the best one of all...here's Jonah cuddling with "Dado" as he calls him....

So "Grown Up"

Well in order to get out the door on time for church we have to dress the boys early and they go watch tv while we get ready. Chris walked in and found Jaron standing like this waiting to leave for church. He looks so grown up.
This is daddy's old army hat....Jaron LOVES it! I like it because if he wears it for a while it will make his hair lay down so nice.

mouth full of food....

Jaron sitting with his buddy at church and put his arm around him during the prayer...you know I always have my cell phone handy for picture perfect moments like this one...so precious.
Forgot to mention on the last post we went bowling during Christmas time and they LOVED it...

Long time no post....

Jacob made a mail box with a shoe box and made some mail to put in it. Jaron was so happy to check his mail box and find this.
My dad found this at a yard sale and Jaron LOVES it!!!
My handsome boys all dressed for church. He begs to wear this suit every day!
There has been no change in his eating habits. I stopped feeding him and forcing 3 pediasures daily for 2 weeks and he lost 4 lbs. NOT COOL! So I am back to my old ways....doing whatever it takes to get him to eat. He's back up to 33 lbs. and he will be 5 in June. He still comes home from PreK once a week atleast with a mouth full of food. He just can't swallow certain textures like meat. I scheduled him for a clinic visit in Boston June 25th and I am also trying to get him into a feeding clinic while we are there. Please pray for him.
