Superman!

This is what we do on a daily basis at our house. He loves to "do superman!" Notice the gloves...he loves wearing them DAILY for no apprent reason just needs gloves.
This was his prize when he went to the Fun dentist! Yep that's right http://www.thefundentist.com/ I take Jacob to a children's dentist here locally and I am so happy with how they run things. He goes back by himself and comes out smiling! Jaron has always went to the craniofacial center in atlanta. It was not a pleasant experience TO SAY THE LEAST! I mean 4 adults (including ME) holding him down and still can't keep him still for a simple cleaning. No toys in the room. No paitings or TV's on the ceilings. No balloons. (all of which the fun dentist has) When we left there I always wondered if they actually got anything clean. And he would be sweating bullets and wore slap out from the fit he pitched. It was like torture. So I asked them if he would be ok to see a regular dentist for cleanings only and they said no he needs to see them.
Well that wasn't good enough for me. A cleaning is just a cleaning. He is missing 2 teeth and the ones he does have are just in a different location. How hard can it be?!?!?!? So I talked to the ladies at the fun dentist and they said they do cleft kids all the time NO Problem. So I made him an appointment. I talked it up for 4 days and we even pretended to play dentist here at home with each other so when the day came he was begging me to go. He had been with Jacob before but never in the back only in the fun waiting room with a giant screen tv and video games. So we went last week and he did AWESOME! Went back all by himself. I forewarned them of his previous experiences. He was back there ONE HOUR!!! My nerves were shot! They came and got me when he was done and he was smiling. I could not believe it. He did not even cry. They did not have to hold his hand or anything. They even got Xrays which atlanta never attempted when he was awake. Unfortunately he does have 3 cavities on his top teeth and they need to be filled. They already filled 2 in atlanta before UNDER ANESTHESIA! Not at the fun dentist...he won't even need novicane. They might use laughing gas if he needs it but we'll see. He is excited to go back and I am so glad we made the switch.

Growing up!

Well Jacob has gotten so big. Chris and I were just talking the other day about how big he is and we can't believe how time flys! I am so thankful he sleeps through the night unlike my other two children. Jacob is so smart and comes home every day with new things to tell us he learned at school. He is wearing a new suit for church in this picture. And Jaron said "Mommy I need a tie!" Boys are fun!!!

11 months old!!!

Well I was able to give Jonah my breastmilk for 11 months. My supply started getting low and I decided it was time to stop pumping. He has obviously gotten more than enough. So we said good bye to the pump. Jonah's lifeline. It was much appreciated and such a blessing. It was not easy pumping every 3 hours for 11 months but I did it. Some never make it that far. So despite the critics and the negative comments I think I did a GREAT job! God gave a mother milk to provide for her children and that is the best thing you can do for your child. One day Jonah will thank me for it. He will be healthier and smarter because I put forth a little extra effort. It was so worth it and I would do it again. He is on formula until he turns one in a few weeks and seems to be adjusting fine. He is also up to the #2 foods 3 times per day as well. And he weighed 25 lbs. 4oz at the doctor the other day.

Singing the ABC's

Jaron was watching TV and fell asleep. How sweet...
He wanted to help mommy clean so he thought he needed to "Clean the world".

10 months

Adorable!
Learning to walk!

Being silly!

Ready for summer!

They went in their drawers and got out the bathing suits. It is 30 degrees outside and they are ready to swim!

Jacob is doing good in school with only a few mishaps here and there. Nothing to speak of. He loves going every day and is learning so much. He counted to 100 the other night!!! He is also reading very well.

All Smiles!

Well Jaron is doing a lot better on speech. He has learned to make all his sounds correct and now all we have left to do it fix the nasality in his voice. He talks through his nose a lot. When we are out in public people say his voice is so cute. Well that is not what we want "mousy whine". He is doing flash cards with daddy learning to "talk like a man". Maybe one day we'll be done with therapy. I just want him to be normal. In the picture above he was eating a huge sucker and had the powder around his mouth.

So Sweet...

Jacob had a stomach ache so we went to the doctor instead of church this sunday. And here we are in CVS picking up his medicine. Guess it was just a bug no vomiting just hurting...He didn't want to walk so he just rode with Jonah.
This was right after a bath. Jacob does this a lot. He is very loving toward Jonah. He likes to pick him up under his arms and "teach him to walk".
Lately Jacob has been saying a things to me that are so sweet. He asked for something to drink this weekend when he was laying on the couch with the stomach ache and I brought him some Gatorade. He said "you're such a good mommy".
And the other day he was eating popcorn and he said "Mommy (chewing) mommy, this guy right here (pointing to Orville Redenbacher) he makes the best popcorn". I died laughing...
He still loves school and is doing good. He never has to turn his card for bad behavoir and his report cards all look good. Oh that reminds me he also said when his bus goes by the CVS (close to home) it makes him think of me. And he told me he sits with a 5th grade girl on the bus. He likes those older women...

Learning to Drive

HE LOVES BATHS!!! We can't keep him out of the bathroom. He crawls down the hall 100 times a day and we have to close the door and then he just cries.
He was taking his first driving lesson in the car at CVS...Don't worry he was wearing his seatbelt.

SQUASH!!! kinda like face paint...

Learning to "balance" that's what I say and he does it so good for almost one minute before falling...It's so cute because he knows he's doing something big he just grins...

So sleepy and wishing I would put him to bed...I was pumping and wanting him to stay awake a little longer so MAYBE he would sleep better that night....notice I said maybe....He has only slept 7 straight hours one night so far and when I woke up my milk jugs were FULL!!!! I was so thankful for the sleep but I practically RAN to my pump!!!

Growing boys...

Look at them all lined up. Jonah is learning to stand on his own and Jaron weighs only 6 pounds more than him. I wish he would eat better so Jonah won't outgrow him.
He always makes that silly face.

Now that is the cute smile I like to see...Jaron....well all three of them really but atleast Jaron isn't being silly he's actually smiling...

We went to Toys R Us to return something and they had this ride outside the store....He LOVED it!!!

9 months & 24.4 lbs.

He loves those biter biscuits...
Good veiw of his teeth....cracking up laughing!

Do you love that FACE!!!
Grinding his teeth...

Now that is BEAUTIFUL!

Hiding Out...

Finally Gaining...

Jaron is finally starting to gain a little weight. He has been about 29 lbs. for a year or more. And now he weighs 31.5. I am so glad. That is my biggest struggle every day to get him to eat enough calories so he will grow. He is so skinny and wearing size 2T in pants because of his waist. He is getting a little taller...not much but I can tell the pants are too short.
He was saying to Jonah..."Almost there Jonah, almost..." So cute!

And here he said "take a picture mommy, I love him!"

Silly faces!

Look at that elvis lip....he does that a lot when he talks now like he has learned to use those top lip muscles more I think. We call it the "Elvis look" So cute!
My two boys playing together...

All geared up and no place to go...."NO PICTURES!"
He is currently on steriods for his croupy cough but it will pass...

Growing pains...

Jacob is getting so smart. He can read now very good actually. He loves to look at these books we have talking about the human body and how things work. He loves school and is doing great! He kept asking us on Christmas break "when can I go back to school?"
He loves his brothers and always tries to pick up Jonah.

Look at those handsome boys! He mentioned to me in church Sunday that his knee was hurting, and blinking. I thought for a second and realized he meant throbbing. Must be growing pains. I already measured him and he is 50 inches tall and that is off the charts for a 6 year old! And he also has another loose tooth on the bottom.

Standing, Eating and Reading at 9 months

Jonah has started eating baby food. He's 24 lbs. 4 oz and he just finished green beans...
A biter biscuit every now and then for an extra treat...(notice the top teeth coming in click to enlarge the picture)
But he still goes to the cabinet to look for the real stuff...

He also has learned to pull up and stand at most anything....one handed...

Where's the FOOD?
Reading his first book
Nothing like mommy's milk though...
Hey he found the peanut butter..
What a cutie!
Loving some peas...
Cool glasses...He is on antibiotics now for his second ear infection...not fun but this too shall pass...
